My name was started in my drumline from the initials HLS which stood for Hot Lesbian $3x.  We would then start saying stuff like Harry Lee Smith is our best friend and stuff like that.  Then when the little kids would come up through the line we would say You never heard about Harry Lee Smith??? He was a legend in the drumline a long time ago.  And so now Harry Lee Smith will live forever!!!!!

For the sake of having all these in one place:

It comes from two places.  There is a movie about a Polish Jew that escapes death during WWII while playing Mephistopheles in the opera Faust.  The movie was called "Mephisto" - I used that for many years online.  Toward the end of the Q1 days, there were too many Mephistos, so I added the Kur portion.  The Kur are a race of alien cats from an old crappy sci-fi series I read when I was young.

Actually, I just read the write-up on IMDB and I realize that I am confused.  The main character, I don't think is a Jew.  Still, I recommend it.  I remember thinking it was a wonderful and powerful movie.

Okay, lets see if I can explain this with out sounding too confusing.

LadyShadow (which was once LShadows), is a shorter version of Lady of Shadows. I don't know if anyone is a Stephen King fan, but it comes from the series The Dark Tower. In the second book you meet  a woman with two personalities. One is more timid while the other is wild and outgoing. Their names are Odetta Holmes and Detta Walker. Same person, but two totally opposite people in one body. well, there are three doors and her door was the second one. On it was the title Lady of Shadows.

Well, I chose the name because I felt like I was two different people. The one everyone sees that is shy and quiet. Then there is another me which only a choice few people have seen. So I chose the name to reflect me. I'm sure you get the idea. I could go in to more of it, but I am sure your manly instincts from birth are already kicking in and tuning what I am saying out lol.

Hmmm...manly instincts. What are those  rolleyes always wanted to read dark tower. Meph, the cover of that movie reminds me of "Preaching to the Perverted" I just work at a video store, i have never seen it. Still don't understand "Harry Lee Smith" Huh

As for my name, I used to go by UforiaStorm before i met Jenny, and i played Halo 2 every single day, more than DM. So I decided to tone it down abit. And when i played BF1942, my brother's name was Sgt. York. Since he can whoop me in a physical fight (hey! were brothers) I decided to give in, and go to a lower rank, cower (spelling) in fear.

When I originally started to play Battlefield 1942 (one of my first big online games beside D2) I made Draco my name because I love dragons and all the mythology, stories, and art that come with them.  Few years later I changed it to Nikostratos which is a mix of the ancient greek words stratos(army), and niko (nike which is victory), making nikostratos or army of victory.  But then I really missed the old days i had with friends so as a way to pay homage (sp?) to my friends i changed my name to my own little word, draconiko, dragon of victory.

Edit: My real name is Manuel Tongue I have many nicknames ranging from man (i save this one for a close friend Smiley ) to man-u-fresh...just don't call me manny >.>

Aldog showed up when I lived in Oregon.  One of my river-running buddies started using the -dog prefix for everyone's nicknames.

Let's see, there was Perdog (Perry), Berndog (Bernie) and me, Aldog (Allan).

We had a lot of fun adventures on various rivers in the NW, ran a pirate rafting company for a season on the Deschutes River, and risked our lives trying to kayak the Illinois River at over 10,000 cfs flow.
