=-[kI]-= KillazInc History
|
- A small group of people, whose ongoing desire is to provide an online gaming community where the focus is on fun and respect, founded KillazInc on July 6, 2005.
- KillazInc started out with a single Half Life 2 Deathmatch Server, as most of us first met one another while playing HL2DM. While HL2DM was originally our favorite and most popular server, =-[kI]-= has grown and changed with the times.
- In November 2005, clan members began to express interest in a Counter-Strike Source server. Some of the admins were reluctant about the idea of a CSS server because of negative experiences they had while playing on other CSS servers.
- Launched on December 9, 2005, Counter-Strike Source is now our most popular server. We added a Day of Defeat Source server shortly after the game was released, but it never became all that popular amongst clan members. Except for clan nights, the HL2DM and DOD servers are offline. =-[kI]-= also has two retired servers: Half-Life 2 Capture the Flag and Goldeneye Source.
- Team Fortress 2 is our newest server. This game is lots of fun, and the server fills up quickly.
- =-[kI]-= began having Clan Nights in January 2006. They were originally scheduled on Monday and Saturday nights, but we learned that having them too often makes them less fun. Now, Clan Nights happen about once a month. Our first Clan Night turned out to be the encouragement that a group of regulars on the server needed to apply to join the clan.

- While the primary focus of our forum is computers/technology and gaming, the discussions don’t stop there. You won’t find any flame wars. You will find posts with jokes and funny pictures as well as posts about what’s going on in the world and in our personal lives. If you’ve got a computer question or problem, chances are someone here will have a helpful answer for you.
- With the help and creativity of several clan members, we've been able to add a videos page and a comics section.
- KillazInc is family-friendly, and our members are diligent in keeping this in mind when posting something on the forum and while playing on the game servers.

=-[kI]-= Clan Info/How to Apply

- The main reason for the existence of the KillazInc Clan is to make sure that we have a group of people who are fun to play with, and enjoy playing in the non-competitive, fun atmosphere of our servers. KillazInc is not a competitive clan. We generally do not seek out clan matches; however, we do have a group of members who participate in scrimmages/matches when invited.
- Our biggest prerequisite for joining our clan is that we know you, and you know us. Hang out here at the site frequently, and actively participate in discussions. Simply put, you must be a member of our community. The following topics are good places to start:
- Your level of skill does not have any influence on whether or not you get into the clan; however, your ability to play fairly and with good sportsmanship on our servers will have a significant influence on this decision.
- You’ve probably already noticed that there is a lot of chatter on our servers. Using voice chat is not a requirement of being in the clan; however, it is actively encouraged. Using voice chat will increase your chances of making it in to the clan.
- If you like the idea of this type of clan/community, stick around and let us get to know you. At the same time, you’ll have the chance to get to know us more. When we feel that we know you well enough, current clan members will vote to determine the status of your clan application. We’ll keep you notified through forum posts or a personal message as to what’s going on.
- If you’re not familiar with the whole concept of a "forum", or if you have any other questions, don’t be afraid to ask for help!
