Try this - Put the zip file in the 'maps' folder, right click on it, and choose 'extract here'. You can then delete the zip file.

1. simon says> extract to desktop or somewhere (doesn't matter, just remember where).
2. simon says> cut or copy .bsp file.
3. simon says> paste .bsp file in said directory>
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\your account name\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp\maps
4. simon says> start hl2dm, create server, find map in list, load map.
5. stand on your head.

Okay, it looks good. You *do* need more detail and more crap laying around, but other than that it looks good. The issues I have:
Not enough detail (you say you are already working on that)
The ladder down to nothing
The room with the spinny things has a console that should be bolted down, or the video feed need to die if it is moved.

thanks,
so the pipework, fan in the floor and light from the floor (green lights under glass) looks cool?
do you mean more detail like that?
what other things would you recommend for detail?
I'm trying to think of something to put at the bottom of the ladder,
maybe a simple tunnel system.
I was trying to make an object out of brushes that you could pick up and throw, much like the metal
boxes I made. I can bolt the console to the floor though, good idea.
should I redo the generator (spinny things)?

killer, daddy like very much.1 thing sweet about it,no way for dw to climb the walls and camp.have you added any secrets yet?i think it would be cool to open the floor above the fan to kill yo enemy, with a switch in a hidden room or something.the pipes under the grated floor, can you make those release steam?

thanks again, glad you like it.
might be able to do the steam thing, didn't think about it.
good idea, and i'll need the steam sound to go with it.
I don't think the admins would appreciate hidden rooms and such, I thought meph mentioned that before to Savage.
I'm trying to stay away from traps in my DM maps, but i might add that to my special trap map.
so far I have about 6 traps, its posted in this section of the forums.
most people are annoyed by traps, but they are fun to make.
