Guild Wars Babble
« on: March 25, 2006, 01:01:22 pm »
Any one else interested in playing this game?

Just curious since I am going to be starting it back up again. I think it would be great if we had a group of us playing together...plus you dont have to pay to play :). I think it would be cool to add rpg to our list of games and start a guild...just my thoughts lol.

Just thought I would ask.

It didn't take me long at all to build my character up. I haven't played it in a while, so I am trying to remember it all.

Basically you pick a type of character (warrior, enchanter, necromancer, marksman, etc.). Then you go through a tuturial and it quickly starts building up. In the beginning I leveled pretty quickly, later on in the late teens it became more difficult.

I love the game because once you leave the town area you will not encounter any other online players while doing your missions. The only people you will find are those on your team. It also gives you the option of creating a team with 5 other npc's, so if you don't want to team up then you can use their "bots" :). That is what I used during the time I played before.

It is smooth play. Dont have to walk miles to get to a location. Tasks can be quite challenging, I liked the guild aspect. It depends on if you like role playing type games. Quests, buying armor, skills, spells, leveling... that sort of thing :). It is hard to explain, but I found the game quite enjoyable.

It's done in real time.  It's pretty smooth, too.

NPC = Non Player Character (a bot, not another player)

I played it a few times when they were doing the beta weekends before release.  I never bought the game, tho.

...and I keep on hinting to meph to get it...

Once I redo my computer I am setting it up. Dont know if I will get any one to join me, but I'll save up some gold and start a killaz guild any ways :).

I understand :). I might check out Wow in the future. Just trying to stay away from subscriptions. That always makes me feel I have to play all the time.

I like rpgs and not that much with fps's, so I dont play the source games very much. Was just trying to add the genre I like with a group of people I like.

People, just give it a thought okay. For me...please!!!! (hmmm must take puppy dog eyes picture to insert here)

i've been thinking about getting GW for a while, hear it gets repetitive in the end tho i guess most nonsubscrip games get that way after a while.  i wouldn't mind a mmorpg branch of the clan :)
