When I am getting hurt by my oppenent I want the magnum.
When we are both dodging and jumping I want the crossbox.

Long distance crossbow, most of the time I do not use zoom.
Long long long distance I use the zoom key/magnum because it is too hard to compensate with the crossbow.

It's often circumstancial, with the cross bow theres the chance of a 1 shot kill (if they have no suit juice), but if you miss it hurts you all the more because it reloads slowly. While the magnum can pop off a few rounds quicker, but does a bit less damage

Both great guns, if I have both I'll take a shot off with the cross-bow and then switch to magnum
