what you paid was just the application fees , not the clan admission fees . .

Way I see it you just tell Rayven he gets a cut of your pay check starting as soon as you are accepted into the clan.  That makes it very much in his interest to get you in asap.  Of course i'm such a good negotiator I'd also get him to do my taxes in the bargin
