Im interested coz of all the talk you and Jeff are having in the forums seems like an interesting game . Im a hl2 player and i like the fast paced action .  . whats cool bout  the game , i would want to give up Hl2dm and play BF2 .  Im not being brash , im just askingfor ur comparison of the 2 games

BF2 takes a lot longer to get good at, plus its not as fast paced like you said. It requires more strategy and teamplay rather than just lone ranger action. The map size is also a lot different compared to hl2, one map in BF2 is like 30 maps from hl2dm combined, so running from one side to the other would seriously take you like 20 minutes. There are also vehicles and that includes jeeps, tanks, APC's, mobile AA, helicoptors, and jets plus some other stuff and you get most of your kills using these. However unlike hl2dm, the point is not to get as many kills as possible, its simply to hold as many capture points as you can and reduce your enemies ticket ratio to 0 before they do it to you. If you like squad-based action set in a modern day era and a little slower gameplay, then go for BF2. Otherwise, keep playing hl2dm

I like HL2DM too, but BF2 gives me another option so I dont get bored with HL.  I like working together to capture and hold points.  I like flying planes and helicoptors. Riding around in jeeps and Hummers running bad guys over.  And I absolutly love C4 ing up a point and watching four guys capping a flag and blowing it up.  And I love to camp and snipe people.

LoL you know those guys who like to pile like 4 ppl into a blackhawk and capture flags really quickly? Toss 4-5 C-4 on TOP of the flagpole and wait for them to come hovering around. Instant kills in bulk

Or strap like 5 of them on a jeep and then go full speed towards a tank/apc/group of enemies and jump out then wehn it drifts into it/them let em have it.

LOL, I love doing this. People get so pissed, and start screaming "NOOB TACTIC!" These are the same people whining about the M203 aka "Noobtube."
My favorite thing is to spot a sniper from a distance who doesnt see me, walk right up to them, and jig 'em up with my knife (or shock paddles if I am a medic.)
If you are into faster games like UT2k4, this game might seem a bit slow. As mentioned, I love the fact that you have so many weapons at your disposal, like tanks, jets, attack helos.
When you get in a good squad and play as a team, its very full-filling. I remember I was playing with a squad once, and the other team had a full Blackhawk that just kept flying around and capping flags. They were wreaking havoc on our entire team. Through VOIP, our squad decided to hide, and wait for them to come cap a flag that we were lurking around. None of us were spec-ops, so we couldnt just c4 the flagpole. We communicated that I would kill the left side gunner, Joeblow would take out the other gunner, and our 2 AT guys would go for the front cockpit and try to shoot a rocket into the rear area with the engys cranking away trying to keep the hawk at full strength. The plan worked, and we actually ended up killing everyone in the helo except the pilot. He tried to fly away, only to get own3d by a well-placed rocket from the AT kit. The tides turned after that, and we won the round.

I obviously am still playing HL2, but I like the challenge of BF2.  So I say if u can fit it in your budget and time, then try it out.  I think we could as a squad reek somehavok on some people.

I like the noob tube as well.  You have to have it for the vehicle whores.  Nothing like taking a tank out with it.  I shoot it, run and hide while reloading, and shoot again and hide. All this while he's trying to figure where its coming from. If he left the tank he might find out
