Interesting map.  A little bright, not enough length to the hallways.  I played with smackintosh the other night, he said it was his.  Combine balls are exquisite on this map, but the glitchiness of the glass walls complicates things.

Yup, smackintosh is the author.  He's working on a new version with a lot less glass, and will be based in outer space.  I think it's a creative map.  My suggestions include adding some ambient sounds and fixing the glitch where the player falls through the map when killed.

hey guys, thanks for the input... i appreciate it.
you gave me some ideas to make it better...
I noticed that it was lagging kind of bad the last time we played it,
and someone had problems with the "gravity-gun with grenade
technique"... fixing it would probably make me die more,
but i want to make everybody happy.

I'm pretty much re-doing it with some new pieces,
ambient sound, some longer hallways, better textures, and definitely
alot less glass. I'm still learning new mapping techniques
and i want to make a map thats enjoyable for everyone to play.
any other suggestions any1 may have would be appreciated.

No need to fix the grenade/grav gun problem, since it's one of arod's favorite techniques.  :ph34r:

don't know if i want to put the rocket launcher in there either...
i hate seeing a laser beam at my feet a split second before i die.
that only happens every 30 seconds or so...

i need to put some random phys props in there too...
so i can use my hat trick and kill people with random objects...
but i wouldn't think there'd be a radiator in a space station.

definitley keeping the AR2, it seems to be pretty nasty in this map,
but you'd accidentally kill yer teammates alot.

just to give you guys an update, if you are interested.....
i have been fiercly working on the habitrail map... since i have nothing better to do,
no internet, phone line, cable.... at least we got all 3 console systems between
the three of us.

the new version, as of right now>

- completley different configuration, with some longer hallways.
- the station loops around with intersections.
- rooms added (including storage, generator room with 2 generators).
- ambient sound added in several places.
- lights added, dim lighting at that... people like it dark, as i've been told.
- no glass as of yet, if i do add it, there will be very little to prevent massive lag.
- I ungrouped pieces, so there is no "falling through the map" glitch when killed.
- added double doors with hash marks to make it obvious that they are doors.
- different texture sets for different areas to cut down on "plain-ness" of walls
- put out some various "phy-props" for humilation with gravity gun
- i made some custom objects (physbox brush models) to also kill people with.
- fixed the issue with grenades for arod, so he can kill every1 with the nade-gravgun  combo to his heart's content in my map, including me... i put a decent amount of grenades too.
- i am not sure if i will add the RPG or not, it doesn't seem to fit in...
- added the AR2, but i'm placing the combine balls in various hiding spots to make it
? more sporting.
