I do, I'm sure Gene does.  But I don't think we can revive this one : (

Its up for now unless it continues to have issues.

Good games tonight, that was the longest I've played any game in awhile.
We should do that more often. I actually have a chance in this game.

That was great *but* I can finally see why some other people dislike playing it now. I still like it, but with out all the spawn killing, reverse spawn killing and teamkilling lol. I mean last night was the first time in a LONG time anyone has had to say "I just spawned you bastard! *Thunk upside the head with a toilet before dieing*". Now yes I did my share of mistaken spawn kills and *cough cough* team kills but meh it was fun. I just think I'll stick with more..."spawn friendly" games such as TF2 and CSS. I'll of course come and play DM on the times we do want to play  ;)

PS- I found myself building a filing cabinet barricade on the office level...until some jerk rolled a nade into it  :'(. Jerks.

 . Cldnt resist it .

Other than the spawn killing and reverse spawn killing , I find the lack of purpose on the maps boring . All the mindless killing  !!!  . What did I ever see in that game ? .

Must agree its still fun to play once in a while .

That is one of the reasons I never played online FPS... the endless deathmatching seemed pointless.  My pre-computer gaming hobbies were either team-based, objective-based (checkmate, bizatch!), or both (GOOOOLLLLLLLLASSSSSSOOOOOO!).

I guess I just wasn't plugged in enough to the modding community to hear about the first TF, plus I had dial-up for way too long during the lean years of education.

Of course, now, thanks to TF2, I am a drooling online FPS addict... Thanks, Valve, thanks a friggin' lot!

lol. it wasn't *that* bad with the teamkilling and spawn killing. then again, i may have been the culprit for a lot of the night....ahem. Still, killing half the team with strategically placed slams was the highlight of the night.

i had a blast because all-talk is on, so you get to talk to everyone; TF2 is less sociable because you can't talk to the other side when you're dead, and nobody chit-chats while alive because it's so objective based.

would have liked to get some DOD on, but ppl weren't really interested.

I think the timers are part of the reason there is less chitchat on TF2, plus the respawns keep everyone in the action more.  That night I played CSS I got to chat a lot because I was dead so much of the time.

That's exactly how I feel about DM.  I had fun for a bit last night (especially spamming Combine Balls on Waterpillar   ), but it gets boring quickly because there's no objectives.  What a bunch of n00bs we were when we liked that game!

I like it because you can concentrate on doing ONE thing, killing.
Objectives get in the way some times, at least for me. I don't have to worry about disarming anything,
rescuing anyone, buying the right weapons, picking the right class, etc...
It's simple, and perhaps I'm simple, but i like it that way sometimes, mindless violence
for the sake of mindless violence.

I was sad I missed out.  I forgot I removed it from my computer(I still don't remember doing it) until later that night and I couldn't download it in time to play.  I hope everyone will want to play again.
