I took great pride in having none of the debt badges and none of the damage badges on my MM.  Imagine my surprise then I ended up having to farm both in my mid 40's so i could get two different accolades.

I'm still confused about the term "farming". What do you "farm" in COH?

I farm turnips.

Farming means to set up a repeatable set of circumstances that provides an unlimited supply of what you are attempting to accrue.

Say you want the Kill Skuls badge.  that is 500 skuls.  On hero side, its easy, you just go to Perez park and massacre them.  But there are no large groups of skuls anywhere on redside.  So people farm them.  They grab paper missions until they get one that has skuls as the enemy.  They get a big team together, set to the second highest difficulty and run through it over and over without completing it until they get the badge.

There are many things that you can farm for, but most people farm things like damage, healing, certain enemies, or even rare salvage of a certain type.
