Looks good. Nice case. You have now inspired me to move my build a little faster along Smoke. I will have to start gathering the parts

yep thats it raven,i likey that case.front fans are blue led and all 3 120 mm have 3 speed switch inline.the 200 mm top exhaust is the icing on the cake.psu is a bottom feeder.thx for the pic man.

major if your planning a sli build with the 2slot wide graphics cards go with a motherboard that has two slots between the pci express slots.the board i have has 1 and i did a test fit this weekend and it is extrmely tight.a very little gap between is all i have, maybe 1/16 to 1/8 an inch.

Hey appreciate the info. I am definately going with a dual card sli board.
I am also going to go with the AMD not sure which one but thanks to DJ and Rayvens advice I can get more bang for the buc. It will cut my cost by about $400 so thats good.

Did your board have 7.1 surround sound on it?  I like the case you have choosen as well.

Once I have it all together all I need to do is box it up ship it to DJ and let him build it for me  :2funny:

yes major the specs say it has 7.1 out but i've read that it doesn't work properly, but we'll see.if it doesn't i'll probably get the x-fi soundcard.

ordered the case? and a lite-on dvd burner last night.went a good bit over $1000 total, but i think it was the better way to go with the antec.so maybe the case will be here this weekend and all done by saturday night.

wth,now the case comes with a $25 mail in rebate.figures, well maybe i'll get that also.

tracking info from the egg says case and drive will be here tomorrow which is much sooner than expected since i ordered last night.it seems they have a warehouse in TN about 3 or 4 hours from here.so if it shows i will install all i can before coming to work.then after css tomorrow night(evening ritual) while still at work and doing a bunch of nothing maybe i can get it all buttoned up.which would be great because i could use this connection(3x faster) for all the windows, steam and areanet updates.

Those are heat pipes.  They are full of air (or some other specific gas depending on who makes them) and they help circulate the heat through the whole heatsink instead of concentrating it near the chip.

Man, i hope you have enough power connectors.  I ran into that with my machine and I don't have anywhere near that hardware.

actually i had 2 completly unused runs of cables.all that is in the case is dvd,hd,2 vids and 4 case fans.
update:got case today, installed everything and started it up and no video.all fans motherboard lights everything working just no video.took it to work and pulled 1 video card and cleared cmos...chaching"money".remember if u buy a used motherboard, clear cmos before powering on,duhhh.plus i don't think you can install in sli,1 vid then add other later.but anyway i started to install then i was reminded that my xp was the upgrade version and i didn't bring my trusty 98 se disk with me.man that freaking sux.by now i could have installed everything and updated.tomorrow i guess,at least so far so good.

I have done some extensive reading. I am going to wait for  Dx 10 and vista before I build. The current video cards can run dx 10 but will not be fully utilized. I am going to go with the AMD2 processor and the Asus crosshair mother board, I am going to wait on the next gen video cards
