Crazyjohnson's comp issues.
« on: February 07, 2007, 10:39:06 pm »
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to help me out.  When I play militia and coldfrost, I can get about 2-3 rounds in and then my computer freezes up and the sound loops.  I get good FPS on both maps, about 60-80.  I haven't tried lowering my settings yet but I have deleted the maps and reloaded.  Thanks!

what soundcard are you running?anything running in the background?are you o'clocking?what are your temps on cpu and graphics?drivers upto date?windows upto date?any new programs installed?any other issues anywhere else?hmmm tilt your head to the left when you play these maps,to the right on every other one and spin around in your chair 3 times "before" you sit down!!!

The cheap RAM (Centon) I had a year or two ago would lockup my system or just reboot
my machine on occasion especially in games. I switched the memory (to Corsair) and it stopped
doing it. Could also be a sub-standard Power Supply. Could be driver issues... there's so many
things it COULD be, trouble shooting is the fun part.

You guys make troubleshooting sound like so much fun!  I am running 2 GB of Patriot RAM and I had the same problem when I was running 1GB of Hynnix RAM.   I'm not o'clocking and I have no idea how to check the temps on my cpu and graphics.  All drivers and windows are up to date, and I'm not running any new programs.   I guess I'll try spinning 3 times in my chair and tilting my head to the left on these maps.  Haha

Remember that the spinning is northern/southern hemisphere dependent.

then again your problems may just be from Steam being a butt if the problems only occur in
Steam games.

Dude, you need to get a new keyboard.  That one has a broken caps lock.

I have to look at the keyboard too while typing.  It happens to me every time I need to include the date or time, I love my G15.
I do what I like.  You have problem?
