HELP!!!!

I ran windows updater and now all my games crash and I don't have system restore points,  :'( does anyone know how to un-upgrade

shoot it's doing it in vista too, powersupply? it just restarts doesn't really freeze

Go to Add/Remove  programs and list the windows updates . remove the one last installed . see if that helps

un-upgrade?

format and start over? only thing I would know to do.
I re-load XP from scratch every 6 months or so out of habit.

Vista? no idea.

yeah i wish xp could just be reinstalled without reformatting, i miss win98, i don't think i've reformatted in a long time

You can do repair installations from the XP CD.

i do a refresh every 6 months of xp ...  backup to my lan (or if you dont have, get a usb hd etc) and format away ... only takes a couple hours to refrag, install and apply the service patches :)

Windows 98?!?!?!? ;)

lol, yeah xp is better, ntfs is way faster and more secure, it was just the OS that I grew up on; vista, i try to change any settings like that annoying "are u sure u want to do that?" and when i restart i get system dump errors, prolly cuz i got it right after it got out and i have a generic motherboard (the true source of all my problems)
but anywho, I have dual boot on my system and it's crashing on both XP and Vista, so either i get a diff vid card, or a new mobo
