This is now my favorite map, and here's why:

1. Constant action
2. Every class can play an important role.  I had a great time on this map no matter what class I played!
3. Multiple ways to approach each objective
4. Plays like a basketball game... first one side might push, then the other, back and forth... all concluding with a last-minute blowout finale!

love the map... you said it all man. but this map would totally suck with less than 12 total players. its just to big for that. but for 20 or more... it just plain rocks!

cant wait to play it again tonight... if i can get on.

This map is great!!! In dm. It wouldnt be so bad if there werent so many snipers at the middle point.  :( But thats just me. Maybe i will grow to like it.  :)

Love it .

Plays long  to be a challenge , Feel goods when you win a round .
No silly scout , spy can sneak past and cap a point easily  . Requires teamwork .
Every class has an important role to play .
Loved this map from DM , cant believe this plays so well in such a different game .
Last but not least , I always score well on this map , on DM and TF2  :)

yea not to brag but i did run past everyone as a scout to cap the last point once. so if i can do it anyone could, and i belive a spy did it last night too.... but this may just be a timing thing. cuz i died like 10 times last night trying to do the same "scout run" i did before and got killed every time.  :(

Spy to the last point was just plain easy, zero defense.  Just cloak through the main fight and avoid attention the rest of the time.

It seems most of these 5-point linear maps (Well, Granary, Warpath are the ones I have played) are similar in one respect: if you can take the 2nd-to-last control point, the last control point falls fairly easily.  Most of the time.  There is still lots of room for dynamism, though... we were playing Granary last night and I was sitting on the last control point while my team capped the 2nd-to-last... we got the 2nd-to-last point to within a hair of capped, but couldn't quite do it... we eventually got pushed back and, unbelievably, lost that game!  Lousy for us, but quite a recommendation for the game!

The thing I like about Warpath better than Granary and Well is that the middle point is more open, so it is easier to battle back... although, I never thought it was possible to lose Granary once you were through to point 4 en masse, but we did last night!

Here are the ways that I can think of for capturing the last point when the other team is defending the last point by being close to the 2nd to last point and stopping your team from advancing.

Ranked in order chance for success.

1. Spy
2. Uber scout runs past everyone
3. Uber heavy and uber scout at same time. One kills the other runs. (I want to try this.)
4. Uber demoman sticky jumping to the last point (I have not got this to work yet)
5. Scout runs past everyone (hopefully the turrets are not well placed or not built)
6. Killing enough people on their team that we can make it to the last point

Here is something I have been pondering. What is the best way to capture the 2nd point at the start of the map?

1. Scouts and fast people (medics, snipers, demos, pyros) on point 2 while everyone else goes to the middle.
Pros:
Scouts can capture the point quickly then get to the middle faster
The slower classes will get to the middle as soon as possible
Cons:
Heavies and soldiers are too slow to get to the center fast enough.

2. Scouts and slow people capture first point. Faster classes go directly to middle.
Pros:
Scouts can capture the point quickly then get to the middle faster
Demos can mine the point, then open the lower passage while snipers and pyros take the point with backup from medics.
The scouts may be able to use the lower passage as soon as they are done capping the 2nd point.
Cons:
The heavy hitters (heavies and soldiers) may be late to the party.

3. Everyone captures the 2nd point and moves together to the center.
Pros:
The whole team is together.
Cons:
The other team will have influence on the middle that will need to be removed before we can cap.

Please add your own ideas or if you have more Pros and Cons for these ideas please add them!

1. Spy - works well if you dont get hit by the crossfire.

2. Uber scout runs past everyone - great plan, but well placed sentry guns could hurt at the end when the uber runs out.
3. Uber heavy and uber scout at same time. One kills the other runs. (I want to try this.) - ME TOO!

4. Uber demoman sticky jumping to the last point (I have not got this to work yet) - hmmmmm.

5. Scout runs past everyone (hopefully the turrets are not well placed or not built) - did it once.  :P

6. Killing enough people on their team that we can make it to the last point - ha! that would take MAJOR team work

My preference is first scout jumps on the second point the rest of the team moves to the center.

Pros:  The second point is captured or nearly captured by the team any of the rest of the team gets to the center.

Cons:  It's a mad rush, people tend to get confused and I've never had a team execute this successfully.  Either many people hop on the second or no one hops on the second.

i like that most plan most. the scouts will catch up anyway and even if the enemy scouts cap the middle first, as soon as the "slower team mates" get there its a battle that the scouts wont win by them selves, and imo it doesnt matter who caps the middle first anyway... its who pushes the middle point the hardest! cuz once a team gets backed into the small hallway behind them its hard to advance.
