Looks like a great option for someone looking for a good free virus scanner . I personnaly dont use/reccomend a virus scanner at all . They are bloated and slow down the machine [worse than a virus ]and provide a false sense of secuity [Did you know the success rate for detection of a new virus is less than 40%] . Any half decent virus can/will disable a virus scanner easily . The whole idea of black listing application code is the biggest hoax in the security industry . Just keep ur machine up to date with patches . Dont open suspicious emails/attachments . Dont go to high risk websites . You are good . I have been virus scanner free for 2 years and yet to face any issues .
I totally agree with Raven, I never used an anti-virus in over what, 12 years since I got a computer, only got 1 virus in all that time. As far as *cough* illegal downloads, the story about pirates putting viruses in games or apps is utter bullshit.
P2P is another story, its full of viruses, adwares and whatever else. There's a few sites too that tend to install crap without your consent, crack sites mainly (use firefox and you'll be fine).
