ill give it another try if i need too. not that i don't believe you... its just that less is more if you know what i mean. and id rather let the bios do its thing since it has a pretty good setup and doesn't require more software runnin in the background.

it seems that im going to have to install ntune if i want my sli to work, and im willing to bet thats what started the whole stupidness to begin with. but i need my sli sooo yea. if ntune jacks up my bios fan settings (which in theory shouldn't since i have a freakin nvidia mobo!) i will try your linky again. with out the ESA crap hopefully i will get some results.

wish me luck.

Good luck!

Still, I don't see how Rivatuner/Speedfan won't work for you....is that even possible?  :o

rivia tuner worked awesome! but it only controls the clock and fan speed for the video cards... unless i missed something. but yea all the other software i tried just read temps. thats it, wouldn't let me do jack otherwise. i still think it has something to do with a conflict due to crappy nvidia software.

i so dont even want to install ntune... but i have too for sli.  :-\

Now hold the heck on. Since when was any of Nvidia's software a *requirement* for running SLi. The drivers always are, and always have been the only thing required for SLi use of any kind (except back in the day to run the kinda funky-working 6600GTs....but that's anther story). You have no need for ntune or ESA. It's just supposed to be the icing on the cake to using an Nvidia board....when it works. If you need temp monitoring as well, use speedfan for temp monitoring, and rivatuner for any OCing you need to do. Those two programs in and of themselves are a complete OCing/monitoring solution for your graphics cards. The ony thing ESA/ntune can't do that those two programs can together is CPU/motherboard tuning (speedfan can read any temperature in the system, anywhere).

So tell us why you need ESA or ntune.

I was wondering why you bother with this I have a Nvidia motherboard videocard and ram and I don'y run that junk.  I never use nTuneit just sits there  :P

uh, why not just use the BIOS for the CPU and RAM, and Rivatuner for the cards, and speedfan to monitor everything?  That's what I do...

So tell us why you need ESA or ntune.

LOL, cuz my system was not in sli mode?  it was just was running 2 separate video cards. is there a way to enable alternate frame rendering 1 or 2 with out ESA or ntune that im not aware of? the nvidia control panel is the only way i know of and the option to run the system in SLI mode is just flat out not there unless you install ntune or ESA.

uh, why not just use the BIOS for the CPU and RAM, and Rivatuner for the cards, and speedfan to monitor everything?  That's what I do...

doctor... doctor... good ol buddy.

the hole issue was that i was unable to get that stuff to work because of some odd issue. so i tried ESA and yea... here we are. but good news, the fresh install cleared up alot of the probs that i was having. my fan speed and CPU/RAM clock is currently doing its job just fine thru the bios like i wanted it to. (just took a reformat to do so) i truly believe that some program was over riding the bios settings from windows, anyway. as for OCing my video cards, rivia tuner is working just fine for setting the fan speed and core/memory clocks. even got my dual gigabit teamed at 2Gbs! so until further notice my system is all good!

for now...  :-\

once again guys thanks for your help.
