I always liked gentoo linux, but it can be a pain to setup, as everything is usually compiled ( and I mean pretty much everything ), but it makes it run smoothly, since everything is optimized on your machine. I think last time I installed it, it took me about 8 hours to compile x-windows and KDE.It has a really nice package installation system called 'emerge' that calculates dependencies for you and auto configures and compiles packages for you.
Somehow if I had to guess your Linux, I probably would have said Gentoo.. (damn spies) hehe
What does spies have to do with gentoo? I started out with RedHat in college, then I moved on to Slackware and tried it for a while. A fried of mine recommended gentoo, and when I tried it, I didn't want to move to any other gentoo after it, since I like it so much. That being said, nowadays I spend almost all my time in windows instead of linux. Being a .NET developer, I'm pretty tied to windows at this point.
Yay for .Net development. Glad to find another .Net developer around here. Still trying to wrap my head around LINQ.
