ok so the peltier will cool the water instead of the CPU. So you will get the cool side in the water. but what will cool the hot side  :-\ ?!?

Anomaly, if I were you I would get a radiator and have not prob with condensation, etc etc... but seems the human always want something more complicated then it should be.

Pourquoi faire simple quant on peut faire compliquer?

the hot side will be cooled by the Zalman 9500 i have. and yes i tend to make stuff more difficult than it needs to be... but thats my hobby annnnnd thats also what gives my rig a much higher 3Dmark score than the person that paid much more for their rig.

and just for reference im getting similar scores as people with 8800gtx's in SLI and currently am on a all air cooled system.  ;)

I think CPU influence most of the 3DMark Score... but sure the 8800GTX in SLI helps ^^

lol i only have 8800gts(320Mb) in SLI.  ;)

thats my point. ive modded the crap out of them and got them to 675Mhz/1850Mhz stable so far running around 52-62c under load.

the stock setting were 513Mhz/1696 and i idled around 60c. above 70c under load.

so yea.. i just want to get the same kinda of results with my CPU. running way faster at lower temps. thats my goal.

you could change your video cards to run GeForce 280 in SLI  and what is your CPU??? Q6600??? what' it's frequency? I got mine running at 3,6Ghz, 1,440V, under Gigabyte X38-DS4

ummmm what?

yea Q6600, the highest ive had mine was 3.8Ghz on 1.5v but it was WAY TOO HOT! i had a thermal shutdown. (set @ 75c) during 3Dmark. but the 18k i got was @ 3.6Ghz (1.425v multi 8, 1800Mhz FSB) the highest temp i hit was 62c.

the 280 are the supposed ''9900 GTX''... as you know nVidia was planning on changing name to get them ''less confusing''  ;)

that's a great voltage for your CPU... my mobo is weird: I go to the Vcore, set up 1,480 V BUT when my quad is running, it gives me 1,440 or 1,456...

LC0g

*EDIT* why 1600FSB and my quad at 3,6Ghz I got around 15500 marks... check the 3d mark thread  ;)  the only diff between me and you is the 1800 FSB and the 2 cqards in SLI

theres no way im buying new hardware.  no seriously. i VERY happy with my PC. i hit a 13k bone stock everything. and with the new cooling setup i can get close 20k (already @ 18k on air).  thats just sick! i was VERY luck to get parts that OC so well

i have a Evga 680i. the Q6600 and the 680i don't like each other. MANY people complain about FSB holes and voids with OCing this combo. to over come some of these "holes" i needed to run my multiplier @ 8x instead of the 9x it comes with. so yea... thats why the high FSB.

my voltage moved a bit too(till i did the vmod). google vmod or vdrop mod for your mobo. it may help.  ;)

ok so the Vcore in the BIOS is not the real one... it drops by little. what is your vmod anom???

LC0g

*EDIT*

there it is: this is exactly what you want to do:

no your bios is right. its just the circuits that suck. my bios was off by 0.02-0.05v before the mod. and now its more like 0.01-0.02v off. it helped me get more stable voltage to my CPU.

the mod is just finding the right variable resister on your mobo and drawing a line with a no.2 pencil across it. the idea is that the graphite is conductive and helps "jump" the contacts to give you more voltage.

unless your a electrical engineer , i would not try to figure out which one to draw on. just google mods for you mobo. if someone figured it out and people have tested it then you should be good.

There's a little more to it, though. You need to have what is considered the "right" pencil so that it's electrically conductive, and even then it's not guaranteed to totally work.

I myself used a CAIG CircuitWriter pen for my old nForce 4 Ultra-to-SLi mod on my old mobo, and I swear by that thing.
