Topic: Xfire and Steam not working

Ok, so i have just noticed neither of my xfire nor steam are no longer working in game.  What gives? both are enabled in game.  i read it could be caused by latest nvidia driver, but i thought that was bs.

my x-fire isn't working in HL2:EP1 today, don't know whether that is related though.

those latest nvidia drivers were giving me nothing but issues, I opted for the older ones

hmmm sounds like that might be the problem

would they have autoupdated without telling me?  I didn't check whether x-fire ingame is working for other steam games, nor did I try the steam in game thing, so I really can't say whether my issue is the same, however I do have nvidia.

I stayed with the 175.16's because of issues I had with the newer drivers.  I did not have any issues with xfire or Steam when i was running the new ones, tho.  The only time xfire doesn't work in game for me is if I install the game and don't restart xfire so it can find it - but that goes away when I logout\login to xfire again.

figured it out. Guess you can only have one over-lay going at a time.  I have the evga mod running.  Which didnt let the xfire or steam come up
