my latest 3dmark03 score.

did a 3dmo3 test today and heres my score.
its not the best but i sure am happy. :thumbup:

must be nice.... :) i paid too dam much for my card to go and get a new one...even tho it has been a while...............hmmmmm.i better not. maybe i should o/c it for the first time.

I'm so confused when it comes to graphics cards.  Do different retail sellers sell different makes of say an NVIDA card?   :huh:

Nvidia makes chips (actually, they hire TSMC to make the chips).  There are about a dozen manufacturers that put those chips on circuit boards.  There are thousands of retailers that sell those cards.

The vast majority of the cards are the exact same, or very close to it.  The cheapest 6800GT runs just as well and is just as reliable as the most expensive 6800GT.  This is because almost all of the card manufacturers use Nvidia's "reference" design - the design for a card that Nvidia has created for internal testing and pre-release reviews.  So what you have is ASUS using the same chips, design, and memory as Jaton or BFG or eVGA.

This is nice because people that know better grab the cheapest price and get the same card no matter the company that makes it.  So when shopping, look for better warranties with a cheaper price.  The last two cards I got were eVGA because they have a decent warranty, and normally (up until recently as they've become a player in the market) cheap prices.

Not if they are using Nvidia's reference design, and you can *tell* at a glance if they aren't.
