Yes. That is what I mean. I am the Vice President and the Supreme Content Creation Lord of GPUReview.com.

I write like 95% of our news stories and and I add all the video cards and reviews to the database.

i could have it a bit twisted but in my opinion, thats like a grocery store owner asking a baker for his recipe to his best tasting cakes. or he wont be able to sell cakes at that store any more. when the other store is right down the street and he could just as easily sell the cakes there.

why would you even consider giving away the only thing thats separates you from the other bakers?

nice analogy

I think PhysX on Nvidia is a good thing. I think PhysX on ATI is a good thing. I think that the main reason Nvidia wants PhysX on ATI is that they want their PhysX engine to become the dominant GPU physics processing API. While this is very self-serving on Nvidia's part (which is not necessarily a bad thing - companies should try to succeed), I think it is also good for consumers. If PhysX support can become widespread on both Nvidia and ATI cards before Havok (from ATI and Intel) hits the streets then we could potentially avoid a drawn-out standards war (think HD-DVD and Blu-ray).

I'm not an expert, but these are my opinions. And yes, Mentok's GPUReview.com is an awesome site.

I have written one video card review so far. Our first one.
I was upgrading to a GTX 280 so I wrote a review.
http://www.gpureview.com/gtx-280-vs-8800-gtx---18-months-of-innovation-article-706.html

We are not getting cards for free (yet), so we will not be doing tons of reviews.

Are you saying that because that is something you would like for me to do?

OR

Are you saying that because you think I am trying to hi-jack this thread?
(I am just answering the questions people are asking.)

I think it would be interesting to have a review site that would compare other things than just the latest video cards, like show benchmarks for cheapo cards in sli, or the difference between running things on an 8x,8x board versus a 16x,16x board.  There's just so many reviews already out there for every card already.
You could review what it's like to use a crappy processor with a good video card versus and good processor with a good card or a good processor with a crappy vid card and compare the latest games on those setups versus slightly older games.
And I'd also like to see more of just how much difference OC'ing stuff does in real gaming.

and also what difference there is in using the various Operating Systems such as XP, Vista, and now Linux and that Gaming linux program, the one I forgot what it was called. O and I'd like to see if RAM makes any difference, and compare the vid cards that have more RAM with their lesser RAM counterparts.  I never see people do that.  And maybe even stuff like Gddr2 vs Gddr3
Oh and you could have every component the same except for the motherboard and compare how the vid card behaves due to the chipsets, or take two motherboards with the same chipsets, one from an expensive brand and one from a cheaper brand and see which one does better.

I think comparing, in a sort of way, like GDDR3 and GDDR5 is like done already: this memory is part of like technology:GDDR5 perfoms better than GDDR3... with GDDR3 you need a wider bus to make the mem bandwith equal to the GDDR5 etc... you know lol
