Allan, keep in mind that Liberty is an East Coast server.  It is actually located in NY.  But the 177.92 drivers work really well for me.  I could actually see the difference.

I am running the Beta 177.92 drivers.  I have absolutely no problems except for two things:

2.  Anything that I drag from place to place in the game - like moving enhancements around on the management screen - have cut off icons.  while dragging, only the upper left third of the icon is visible.

That sounds like you need to change the resolution

I just checked some of the Vista/ITunes forums, and the last time anything like your problem was listed in 2007.

Maybe you should just reinstall iTunes.  What version of Vista do you have?

Tried that still no good, when i run the setup program it says this "Windows installer process could not be accessed, this can occur if you are running windows in safe mode, or the windows installer in not installed correctly.

I am running vista home premium 64

try sfc /scannow

Note that you have to run as administrator, unless the account you are using is in the admin Group.

Also I wouldn't recommend running any internet user profile as administrator. I have had to reinstall 3 times due to viruses and trojans.

Installed windows 7 on my crappy laptop. Surprisingly, the installation was smooth. So far the experience has been great, Its much more snappy and quicker compared to vista. The pre alpha can be downloaded from bit torrent link.

*disclaimers*:
  • This is a pre-alpha build leak, which means it is not even meant to be available outside MSFT, so potentially your computer could blow up if something goes wrong.
  • Dont install it on a machine you have anything important. Backup backup backup. better use a VM
  • Do it only if you like *new and shiny* .

Its everything vista should have been.
Installs in 15-20 mins.love the IE 8 beta with it.
The search bar actually works.
Like the new concept of 'Library' for managing documents
surprisingly its as fast as, if not faster than xp.

I could install it on my crappy compaq presario with windows default drivers even thou compaq doesn't even support vista on this model. I was ready and armed to sacrifice kitten to make 7 work but thankfully  7's kernel is the same as vista's so I had no issues with my device drivers. In fact my network printer which gave me issues under vista installed smoothly under 7.weird.

Having said that, fresh install is a honeymoon period, have to wait and see. This is my carry around laptop so I dont have many apps in here besides basic  chrome, flash, digsby.your mileage might vary.
