The .mp3 file constantly causes problems on many servers, I know it's cool and all but it is a pain having to exit the game, delete the file, restart the game to get to play everytime we previously visited the kI server (guess this is another reason not to play there)

I have had this problem before but it has not happened to me for awhile.

It's always caused problems for me, and only the intro, nothing else.

I think the Population problem could be helped if there were more KI clan nights of TF2.  All the KI members started playing on non-KI TF2 servers.  If we could just get them to play on the KI one instead, there'd be people on a lot again.  But there's nothing motivating them to play on their own server, since everyone plays on different servers now.

For KI members, I pose this question:  What makes you play on other servers other than the KI?  If some feature or game types draw you elsewhere, we could maybe include that on the KI Server to get the population back?

There are more non-KI members consistently playing on the KI server nowadays than KI members.  It seems that I, 7designs, Skiwawa, and Gluttony are the most frequent visitors nowadays.  The only KI member I see on much when we're on is Caluub

The clan has always had a hard time with the concept that seeding is a long term commitment, and it may not be successful immediately.  Dj, mike and I have continually explained that it took months of just the three of us playing to get this place started, and it would have taken longer if the place half of us came from didn't implode.  It falls on deaf ears.  People want the benefit of a hoppin' server, but don't actually seem to care to put in the effort to make their favorite server popular.

The intro is a minor bump.  The failing of the TF2 server is the fault of the people that want to play TF2, but want others to do the work of getting it successful.

Actually, I was talking about Deathmatch, Gene.  There are no bots in DM.

Yup, I remember the days of me, Meph, and Mike on the DM server.  It was almost like a second job, 7 nights a week.  As you can see, it does pay off, but it takes patience.  It was very rewarding to get a "regular", and we slowly got more and more.  Eventually people joined the server without any of us being there.

There was a time when both the CSS server and HL2DM server were very popular at the same time.  The admins had to split themselves up between both servers.

While we're on the topic of empty servers, I've noticed lately that we're not very friendly to non-clan members.  For example, someone asks a question and no one responds, or there's a player using voice chat and making an effort to talk with us, and no one says a word.

People come back to a server because at some level, they had a good experience.  If we don't make an effort to create that experience for players, TF will remain empty, and we'll rarely have any new regulars on CSS.

Maybe there's a problem with that particular mp3 file.  I'm going to try using the wav version of the file.

You can use the command "alltalkvote" to vote for alltalk.

without meaning to be a pain in the .... this is still a problem - played on our server last night which was great to see it active ... then went to join a server with pure settings enabled and the mp3 file had to be deleted in order for me to join

I haven't been able to get the all talk vote menu to come up when I initiate the vote. I've also heard a lot of people saying that the server needs new maps.
