Actually, saying "run on <name of engine here>" is common in reviewer parlance, thank you.  "Runs on source" or "runs source" is easier than saying "a source engine based game."  Of course, you won't see that after an editor gets through with it - at least the editor at the site I wrote for didn't let it through.

Thank God for editors eh?

Some Microsoft things will never change, I wish they'd stick auto-resume ability on the IE downloader

Alright, so I'm a little slow on the uptake, but I just started downloading the iso from the MS site.  My question is...is anyone here installing on a virtual machine?  Are you using VMware or whatever MS makes?

I guess it's not a big deal either way...I could install on my other hard-drive, but that would mean migrating all my crap over to the newer, and possibly defective HDD that I'm using now.

Been running it since the beta came out. Gave it a little time but really hasn't impressed me all that much. I'll try again once it goes Gold.

For now...back to my Linux I guess.

Source games work fine.  City of Heroes works fine.  Haven't tried anything else yet.

I played some WOW, World Of Goo, and no real problems with either. World of Goo did run a bit slower though.

 :2funny:

Cool thanks guys. So basically you get a (almost) complete OS for free. That's nice. And if it's as nice as everyone says it is, I might give it a try.

It will auto-deactivate in August.
