evga voltage tool!
« on: February 10, 2009, 09:04:56 am »
evga released a new voltage tool for the 200 series cards. i have yet to try it but from what it sounds like it is probably very much like their precision tool.

hey man.

yeah I just tried it. not bad at all. though for my vanilla card it does not increase the voltage a lot (you can crank about 250mV more from stock voltage). it does make a difference on the max stable overclock

sure it's not alot, but you are not hard modding your card (warranty still stand).

keep in mind you can't change the card's clocks in the GVT you need Precision.

yea... still haven't had a chance to use it yet, but i figured it wouldnt allow for too much extra juice. ether way im sure it will help 70% people get a higher stable OC than before the the voltage tool.

its just one more reason to love evga. they really are a power users board partner.
