i Googled that monitor, it looks werid. almost like if a fly went straight at it at full speed it would break the stand. but not bad for a 22".

My desk weighs a metric ton, so it doesn't wobble unless I really try to make it.  It actually isn't any worse than my old one in that regard.

Heh, I was only kiddin.

But yeah, it runs really well for the RC. Heck it ran damn good in beta. I backed off my OC and that stopped the bluescreens, so the only thing to see is, when I get my hands on a copy of Home Premium, if she'll OC the tiny 600 MHz I normally OC with.

ok, so like i said im finally runnign the RC for windows 7. im running the 64 bit version, casue my friend told me i must do it casue its better. and yes, i have to agree, it is better. my only thing is, there is a 32 bit program files folder and a 64 bit programs files folder. now, steam installed into the 32 bit folder, i heard that source games can run 64 bit. so does win 7 automaticly run them in 64 bit or because its in the 32 bit folder it will only run them in 32 bit?

Lean, stop over thinking it :P .

64bit and 32bit mean very little on the user side of programming.  Steam and almost all of the games that run through it are 32bit.  The main difference between 32bit and 64bit for you as a user is the fact that 64bit can support up to 128GB of RAM and 32bit can only support 3GB.  Windows 7 runs 32bit programs in 32bit, and 64bit programs in 64bit.

Finally had time to install today.  Right after I clicked on install I got an message saying that a necessary driver for the CD/DVD drive was missing and please locate before continuing.  Knowing that there was no driver disc with my drive I figured it need drivers for the motherboard(SATA or something) I put in that disc and no go.

Didn't know what else to do so I scoured the net looking for a solution of which there were many ideas but the one that kept coming back is bad dvd burns or corrupt iso downloads.  Seemed like that burning again or reloading the iso was working for quite a few.

There is a utility called Windows 7 ISO Verifier that will check the integrity of your iso.  I ran it and I have a bad iso.

Now before anyone says that is what you get for downloading it illegally I will have you know that my iso came right from MSDN and it is fully legitimate.  I don't know what happened but there must have been an error during my download.

Starting the download again.   :-\  Hopefully that will solve my problem as well.

The new iso worked.   :)

I started thinking that it might have been bad because I was using Chrome when I download it the first time.  I used IE this time.

One kind of strange thing.  I was using 32bit XP and went to 64bit 7.  It didn't give me an option to format the partition I was installing on(unless I missed it but I didn't see any other options).  It said that it would install and put the old files in a folder called "windows.old".  I would thing a fresh format would be better to install on but maybe it doesn't matter.  Any ideas?

It looks really slick.  I should be able to play a little more with it tonight.
