I figured I would start using my free time to develop certain apps for windows. stuff I've used in the past, but they never got updated, or became abandonware.

edit:

and I figured I use a modded OS, it's time to start making my own.

And yes I'm using a legal copy of Vista, along side a copy of windows 7.

Bought Windows Pro yesterday.  Arrived today, but I wasn't home in time to get it from the leasing office.  Tomorrow!

May not have time to install it this weekend though.

This is making the rounds and I thought everyone should know about it:

There's one tweak I can add, tho.  If you have Windows 7 set to display the file extensions (something that I can't live without), you can create the directory anywhere, then create a desktop icon pointing to it named whatever you want.

This is quite a handy tool for power users.

Absolutely love W7, not a single problem in over 5 months now.

As for Chrome I won't be going back to Firefox.  I can't stand using IE or Firefox now.  I find that Chrome is noticeably faster and I much prefer being able to search right out of the address bar.

ok... getting really pissed off here.

since my W7 install i cant view any flash through steam. reason being steam is using IE64bit for some reason an as most of you probably already know adobe has dragged their feet on 64bit support (amongst other things ) . ive tryied for a few days now to find some way to get steam to aleast defauilt to IE32bit let allone any other browser but to no avail, and searches are getting me nowhere!  :tickedoff:

do any of you guys know how switch the default browser steam uses or any other tricks to resolve this?

thanks.

I believe the new Steam GUI (Beta) should fix your problem Anomaly.  Note the third post
