You can use any previous MS OS from Windows XP on up.

Interesting issue:

If I leave my computer for awhile (hours) with the monitor off, the monitor will actually refuse to power on until I pull both the power cable and the video cable.  I have changed all power management settings to never turn anything off.

I'm wondering if I missed something somewhere.

Works fine on my wife's machine.  (also windows 7, but the pro version, not ultimate)

i'm sorry to hear that meph :( i hope you can figure out whats wrong with it!

well i'm screwed out of the RC version of windows 7. i downloaded it last week but i couldn't get it to work so i tried it this week and well....can't find it. so i guess i'll just go ahead and buy a copy of vista with the free upgrade coupon from there. finally got some room on my C drive to upgrade :\

The RC ended availability on Thursday.

Doing a google search turned up that my issue is common enough to find people asking how to fix it :D
