Called an made sure - they DO take Fedex and UPS even tho their RMA email says mail only.  Idiots.  So I get to Fedex Ground the thing.  I feel safer with a guaranteed delivery date and tracking.

Don't know if people have seen this news already, but the thai floods are expected to increase the price of hard drives, and consequently, computers.  Might not see return to current levels until late 2012.

one of the hdd died on lennie's laptop.so for shits and giggles i installed my ssd on vista 64 and it's a very snappy laptop now.very nice upgrade.but the remaining hdd is going back in it.trying to get her to trade it to me and not having much luck with that.but now that she has the tablet she never uses this and i like it.

So My EVGA GTX 560TI 2GB Superclocked card is running great, I cleaned the puter applied MX-2, all in all, system is running great, and the 4 new 80mm fans i put in to replace the dead ones helps a lot too.

still seeing average temps ~15 - 20?C lower than before.


edit make that 30?C lower from what I was seeing while playing TOR.

Just ran intelburntest

FPS with vsync on is solid.

Overall I'm happy with the modest upgrade i did.

edit2: apparently this forum doesn't like the degree (aka alt-0176)???
