great work meph!! ;)  My wife earns less than 1 third of what I do :(  I blew it!

We are the exact opposite.  I am a general computer tech\geek, so I would make a third of her salary if I worked.  Its rough on her tho.  Centuries of societal pressure scream at her that moms should stay home, and even as progressive as we are, it sometimes sits heavy on both of us that the roles are reversed :/ .

I am currently a supervisor at OfficeMax. It's a full time gig as the technology specialist (yea, what were they thinking right). It's not what I want to do forever, but it's work.

i say go with what ever is best for your kids and pocket book.

no sence in having less money in the bank and/or sending your kids to day care just so you can fit stereotypes. after daycare is done with your checking acct you only end up making 5-10k a yr! off the second income :'( while someone else is raising your kids.

at least that seems to be the popular view amongst my coworkers.

the wife and i may come upon a similar situation when we have kids. depending on how fast this economy turns around it might be in our best interest for me to stay home for the first 5 yrs considering she makes more working 36hrs thank i do working 40hrs @ one job and 20hrs @ my second....  :(

main job: driver / sales porter / I.T. Department / errand boy for a car dealership. I drive cars worth a lot more than I am around (back and forth to Baton Rouge and New Orleans for maintenance).

On the side I help with web design and game design.

I'm also a part-time penguin trainer. I train them to eat fish, wish is pretty easy.

well... i currenly am a shift manager for Starbucks.  Drem i agree with you about babysitting people all the time that are older than me. It's pretty ridiculous that a 22 year old is having to have "coaching conversations" with people much older than me about their behavior and performance.  So i do that 32 hours a week. and then on top of that i am the "Youth Apprentice" at my church and taking ministry classes to learn how to reach out to the youth that come to youth group once a week.  I have one 6 week class left in the program and then i will recieve a bible certificate.  After that i will work on being licensed to the state as a Pastor.  and then start working on ordination with my demonination.  should be all done with all this towards the end of the year and then idk what i'll be doing or where i'll be going.

Sweet. One of my good friends owns a coffee shop in Dehnam Springs. I always mean to visit him in his caffeinated habitat, mention my name and maybe he'll give you a free Granita (Charlotte's) just for knowing of my existence.
