Microsoft will end official support for Windows Vista on July 13th, 2010.

Also, if you are using the RC version of Windows 7, be aware that it expires on June 1st.  From the partner newsletter:

Quote
* On February 15, they'll start seeing notifications on their PCs, warning them that their operating systems will expire soon and reminding them to back up their data.

* Beginning March 1, users' systems will reboot or go to a blue screen every two hours, depending on their system failure settings.

*On June 1, the Windows 7 RC license will expire.

I'm with Kerchief.  I'm still using XP until I build a new machine (March I think).

I guess very few entities  that mattered (corporations, governments) adopted Vista.  My wife uses it on her laptop and likes it.
