Heaven Benchmark
« on: April 06, 2010, 02:41:09 am »
Smoke told me about this. i remember seeing it on a demo for DX11 on the new ATI cards. i didn't think my card would run it (260gtx) but it did! even in DX11? not sure if this is some sort of watered down DX11 to run with my card or not cuz i was pretty sure my card wasn't DX11 compatible. but it ran the test anyway. here was my scores...

CPU: stock (2.83Ghz)
RAM: 667Mhz (sinked to FSB 1:2)
GPU: stock (576/1242/999)

FPS:
34.7
Scores:
874
Min FPS:
17.4
Max FPS:
71.4

CPU: stock (2.83Ghz)
RAM: 667Mhz (sinked to FSB 1:2)
GPU:  OCed (729/1458/1188)

FPS:
42.9
Scores:
1081
Min FPS:
25.9
Max FPS:
86.0

i actually got a way better FPS than i thought i was gonna get. try it out! it pretty sweet and has some nice sounds too.  :)

i cant enable tessellation. i think only the 400/5000 series cards can use that kind of rendering.

this is how i was running it both tests

Render:        direct3d11
Mode:          1920x1080 fullscreen
Shaders:       high
Textures:      high
Filter:           trilinear
Anisotropy:   4x
Occlusion:     enabled
Refraction:    enabled
Volumetric:    enabled
Replication"    disabled
Tessellation:  disabled

nice!

i did a run with my card OCed and my CPU @ 3.2ghz and it barely moved my score. im bottle necked by my single card. i could OC the 260 some more and do some software over volting since im not even hitting 40c yet but i don't think i'll get much more out of my it. im shocked it did this well to be honest.

you however might gain a nice jump from OCing your CPU since your running dual GPU config.

yea same here. i went up to 4ghz and didnt yield and real gains.

i tried to go higher on my GPU OC by over volting but got no ware fast, kept getting gfx errors. kinda weird cuz i can make some runs in Vantage @ higher clocks stable.

must be DX11 or some other code thing i don't know jack about.

ether way it seems that benchmark is really GPU dependent. which is kinda good seeing as how most newer games are following the same trend.

Min FPS:   12.4

I will note that Most all cards will run DX 11 code, BUT... It will not run DX11 Advanced code. Noted by post above using non DX11 cards by the disabled functions.
