Video Game News

Decided to start a threat about the stuff I read about  :2funny:
Everyone can post stuff about game news be it funny or weird or whatever  :)

Might as well start with this

"All stores located on Army and Air Force bases will no longer be allowed to sell Electronic Arts' upcoming military shooter Medal of Honor because an aspect of the game includes playable Taliban characters.
The Army and Air Force Exchange Services has confirmed to Kotaku that they requested the game pulled from the 49 GameStop's located on bases in the continent U.S. The ban, an AAFES representative told Kotaku, also extends to all military PXs worldwide."

I can see why they would... but really?

"GameStop has agreed out of respect for our past and present men and women in uniform we will not carry Medal of Honor in any of our AAFES based stores...,"

I think that's fine.  Soldiers can still buy the game off-site, just not on Army/Air Force bases.

I had mixed feelings about this.  I don't care who is offended, when the government prevents freedom of expression, I get a little antsy.  but since the military *asked* for the game to be removed, and didn't demand it... that's okay.  I understand the wish for a sense of courtesy and respect for those that have experienced the war with the Taliban.

Still bothersome that they even asked for the removal, but they didn't actually ban the game, just asked.  The first few lines talking about a ban are wrong.

The Opt in is not included in the Steam version.  It does an express install, using all your old settings.  You must have an AMD previous version installed already - no clean installs.  On first reboot, you will be asked to opt-in to the email spam.

New League of Legends Map Detailed, Teased

Might have read this in PC Mag, but here is the link. It will be a 5v5 map.

"Presumably, the new map will be coming along with the announced update to the game's art style, but no release date has been announced."
