question? I haven't used all the features of GV and I'm not sure about all of them. Ive only used it to forward calls to my phone.  Is it free when you call cell phone to cell phone with the mobile app?

You are still using your cell network, so by default, no.  The way around this for Verizon is to use the call proxy that GV works through for your area's number in your friends and family plan.  The way GV works when you call from the mobile app is that it calls the local proxy, then calls the real number using that.  This is my understanding and how it was explained to me, so I may be completely wrong.

Yeah, using GV on your phone uses up cell phone minutes.  If you call on your computer, it's free.

There is an app called GrooVe that supposedly uses GV completely for calls through a data connection if set up correctly.  Not sure how or how well it works.
