I am sure he is getting an active sub, not a passive sub smoke. now if he really wants a project then he could build one. stick with the 2 subs put one in the front viewing area and one behind where you sit, then you do not have to tune either up all the way and they will work fine. after all free is free. What are they like 8 inch 100 watt??

Smoke, I hear you about the sub. I would love to build one on my own esp since it's so simple, but the last 'handy' kinda thing I did was heat up a hotpocket in a microwave
. I will probably electrocute myself trying to put together a sub.

this one looks damn good for the money.300w rms,slot ported,wider freq. range,5 year warranty and almost $200 cheaper.being that it's polk you probably already seen it.

Oh wow great find Smoke, New Egg has a $50 off it too. That's a good price for a 12" sub.
I just bought the yamaha A/V reciever in here
