this morining Star Wars Episode III and War of the Worlds (i think) come out on DVD.
I'm gonna pick up SW3 but I'm not sure about War of the Worlds, I've heard mixed reviews.

I will not be seeing Saw II. I saw the first one it it disturbed me for a long time. I'm waiting for Harry Potter to come out. Im either going by myself or taking my daughter to see it.

War of the Worlds was pretty good, it surprised me... it was closer to the original book than the movie. except it didn't take place in Europe during the 1890's, and it focused on the tripod machines, none of the trademark ships featured in the TV show and 50's movie. That little girl (Dakota Fanning) was very annoying to me and added too much tension, she usually plays it smart... like in Man on Fire. They could have gone into more depth on some of the plot points, especially the ending.

I'm not a huge fan of Cruise because of his over-hyped relationships, the weird cult he belongs too and so-so acting talent. Though he was pretty good in Minority Report and Last Samurai.

I was just sitting here.  Reading Smack's manlove comments about Tom Cruise in a closet.  Then smack said he loved Tom Cruise.  So I'm gonna take out my gun and I'm gonna bust a cap...

Can't wait to see Aeon Flux.  Those some of the previews have me worried about the movie some are techno-ish and feel like they go with the anime-style and some have the song "headstrong" playing which to me feels very out of place....

I thought that War of the Worlds was good.  Never read the book or saw the other movie, so I can't compare them.  When I was going to college, there was a made for TV movie with a war of the worlds theme.  Me and my roomates were watching it, and when one of them came it, we acted like it was really happening.  He took us seriously, and wound up calling his girlfriend on the phone and crying to her.  It was too funny.

"manlove comments" ? WTF? I loved the South Park they just did about him and scientology.... and of course the 50 times they asked him to come out of the closet... good stuff. I've only liked him in a few movies... the rest were complete crap, thats why i was "surprised".... mmmmkay.
