Virtual CD Software
« on: October 22, 2005, 06:14:47 pm »
Thanks to trigg and meph, I downloaded Daemon Tools.  It was working with Quake4, but now when I try to launch the game it asks for the CD to be inserted.  What program do you guys use to make the 1:1 copy of the CD?

I don't.  I used to use Alcohol 120%, but they don't keep up as well anymore with the protection schemes.  These days I rely on Daemon Tools or I find (or make) a no-cd patch.

I'm using a no-cd patch for Q4.

I usually use dvd decrypter in iso mode or isobuster. It(DVD:D) works for sims2 and a few others...sometimes the no-cd patchs you find at gamecopyworld.com are pretty good.  They seem not to do too much maintenance on the site but u can usually find something that will help you out.

I tried to use Clone DVD, but it turned out to just copy movies.. I wanted to "backup" games that were on DVD,
its apparently nothing like Clone CD, I used to "backup" PSone games with it.

I backup every PC game I get to virtual images from their Cds with clone Cd, then run them with daemon tools.
that way I can put all the discs from 1 game on a DVD. so I can put like 2 to 5 full games on one DVD.

I wish i could do all that, my law breaking ends with music.  But does not seem to be to hard to do though?
