need some type of reg cleaner/windows repair

my fricken pc is gettin stupid and is missing files reg is a mess need something free..not just a free scan which most of the crap on the net is..help a brother out.

What specifically is happening?
What error messages are appearing?
What program(s) are you using when you get errors?
Do errors occur during startup/shutdown, logon/logoff, or when using Windows Explorer, etc?

ccleaner is free and it'll fix any bugs it finds.

It'll check your reg integrity like unused file extensions, missing shared DLL's, app paths, obsolete software, MUI cache, etc.

and it'll clean your IE/Firefox/ Opera files and others too.  i use it a lot and like it

dj some how a file somewheres is gone.when i try to install zl and some other's i get this.



and another error from same directory

i downloaded it already.it fixed a bunch of things but didnt fix this prob.

vsutil.dll is part of Zone Alarm.  What I'm not sure of is why Zone Alarm is trying to access a dll that's in your temporary files dir.  Try uninstalling Zone Alarm, then go to start, run, type 'cleanmgr' and press enter.  Choose the C drive.  When cleanmgr is done scanning, a dialog box will appear.  Make sure the option Temporary Files is selected.  It's up to you what else you want to select, but I would not reccomend selecting Downloaded Progam Files or Compress Old Files.  When this is done, restart and see if you get the error.  In my experience, Zone Alarm seems to cause a lot of different problems.  If you've got XP SP2, use the Windows Firewall.

Did you run cleanmgr yet?
